Sliding Scale Fees
I work with a sliding scale of £10 – £75 per session.
This is based on principles of economic justice, and inspired by the work of Worts & Cunning. Simply, those who can afford to pay more help make therapy accessible for those who cannot.
A Note on Choosing Your Rate
This scale is offered in a spirit of trust. I do not ask for proof of income, and I invite you to choose the fee that feels honest and best matches your circumstances.
Many of us have complicated relationships with money, value, and self-worth. Experiences of poverty, class mobility or assimilation, family history, or systemic inequities can make it difficult to know where we fit. Economic privilege and financial hardship are shaped not only by individual circumstances, but also by wider historical and structural forces.
I invite you to reflect on both your current financial situation and the wider resources or security available to you.
£75
I can comfortably meet all my *needs.
I have savings, assets, financial security, or future access to inherited wealth.
I have disposable income and do not need to think twice about **basic needs such as rent or mortgage, utilities, food, transport, healthcare, and other living costs.
I can regularly afford both holidays and leisure activities (such as eating out, hobbies, entertainment).
Even if I sometimes feel anxious about money, this does not reflect my current financial reality.
Paying this rate is manageable for me and doesn’t cause ongoing strain
£50
I am able to meet my needs most of the time.
I may have some savings, or a regular income that covers rent, bills, and essentials.
I do not often need to worry about day-to-day expenses, though I sometimes need to plan or budget carefully.
I can occasionally afford holidays, though they may require saving up.
I can often afford some leisure activities, though not always freely or without thought.
Paying this rate is possible, though it may sometimes require budgeting or trade-offs
£25
I sometimes find it challenging to cover my basic needs but usually manage.
I have little or no savings.
I often have to think carefully about how I spend money.
I rarely have enough for holidays and may only occasionally can afford leisure activities.
£10
I regularly find it difficult to meet basic needs.
I have no savings and limited or insecure income.
I am unable to afford holidays and can only rarely afford leisure activities.
Therapy would not be possible for me without this rate.

Revisiting Fees
Circumstances can change over time. If your financial situation improves or becomes more difficult, we can revisit your fee together to ensure it continues to feel fair and sustainable.
